Early Saturday morning the teams (those that didn’t stay working through the night) returned early for that final push. For a few teams that was simply a last check to make sure that the winds and snowfall hadn’t damaged their completed work. For others there was minor polishing and clean up while a few were fine tuning down to the last blast signaling it was time to lay down the tools. I was lucky enough to get a few teams with their sculptures but not all teams have a finished with team picture. Though I did get each completed piece along with those of the festival’s primary sponsors Budweiser and Cadillac. Kids and grown ups alike had fun climbing inside the Cadillac snow sculpture as well as the maze, castle and throne in Breckenridge’s main plaza.
With luck I’ll get some photos of the sculptures all lit up after the crowds die down Sunday night.
