How to FTP with FrontPage 2003
Once you have your local site set-up you from the File menu:
- Select Publsih which brings up this dialog box:
- Select the ftp radio button and fill in the address as tp://ftp.floridaphotosafari.com
- You do not need to select the FTP directory because when the account was set up it would only allow you to post in the directory Tony assigned to you.
- Click OK which brings up the Name and Password Required dialog box. If you don't get it check for a typo.
- Put in the unique User ID Tony sent you and the same with the password then click OK
.
- You should then be connected to the site and you can publish down the files he has in your site.
If you have a problem, try checking the "passive ftp" box underneath where you put in the ftp location. Some firewalls require you to use Passive FTP to connect through them.
